Rajesh Alla, CMD

Mr. Rajesh Alla, CMD

Rajesh Alla is the Chairman & Managing Director, IIC Technologies Ltd., which he founded in 1994. Today the company provides wide range of Geospatial Engineering Solutions to its clients through its offices in Europe, North America, Middle East, Australia, and India.

Rajesh is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh - a premier institute for Artificial Intelligence research. He is also an alumni of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Osmania University, and Sainik School, Korukonda.

An engineer-entrepreneur at heart, he worked in the Robotics Institute, Carnegie-Mellon University, developing automated Printed Circuit Board inspection systems for production use. He is one of the pioneers of Automated Digitizing and Recognition of documents. He has developed numerous Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence Algorithms.  He co-founded Audre, Inc. in the US, a company dealing with Automated Document Conversion Systems.

Derrick Peyton, CEO

Mr. Derrick Peyton, CEO

Derrick Peyton has 40+ years in the geomatics industry. Academically he holds Technical Diplomas in Surveying and Mapping as well as a BSc and MSc in Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering and an MBA. He has also graduated from an IHO IBSC Category A S5 recognized program.

Professionally he is a Canadian Professional Engineer as well as a commissioned Canada Lands Surveyor. Derrick’s work experience has covered various fields of geomatics including hydrographic surveying and charting, oil and gas, transportation, land surveying, research, training, software development, marketing and business development.

He is the author of several papers in geomatics and has served on numerous committees and advisory boards related to surveying and mapping.

Mr. David Crossman, MD Australasia

David has 30+ years in the hydrographic survey and geospatial industry within industry, government and defence. Academically he holds qualifications in Hydrographic Survey, Maritime Studies, Strategy and Management, Defence and Business. He is also an IHO IBSC Category A S5 Hydrographic Surveyor.

David’s work experience includes hydrographic survey, navigation, geospatial and diplomacy within the New Zealand Defence Force, New Zealand Government and Industry. He has also held numerous positions as Chair and Board Member on National Government, Regional and international geospatial Boards.

In his current role David oversees the development of relationships and delivery of services and support to the Australasian region.

Mr. Steven Sawdon, Managing and Operations Director, IIC Technologies, Europe

Steven qualified as a Military Surveyor (Engineering) with the British Army at the School of Military engineering. His Army career involved the full range of combat and military survey activities. 

On leaving the Army Steve joined the private sector, working for several organisations managing projects across multiple sectors including Oil and Gas, Defence, Construction (Buildings) and transport infrastructure for prestigious clients such as, Ministry of Defence, British Waterways and Network Rail before going on to set up as a private practice surveyor.

As part of the IIC directing team he is responsible for the management of European Operations and the management of the company. As part of the Group team he contributes his survey and mapping experience to corporate projects.

Ed Kuwalek, Chief Technical Officer

With over 25 years of experience designing and successfully delivering world-class geospatial systems and software solutions, Ed drives innovation, sets the technical strategy, and leads delivery of geospatial software solutions.

Ed, an internationally recognised technical expert, oversees operations of IIC’s Innovation Center and works closely with various IIC teams providing the guidance needed to successfully execute complex geospatial projects. Over the years Ed has undertaken technical leadership roles for numerous international projects working directly with dozens of national navies, hydrographic offices, and geospatial agencies around the world. He has a long history of active participation in the development of international IHO standards.

Ed holds an MSc in Information Technology and is an avid proponent of open data standards and technologies that accelerate the adoption of geospatial data solutions and data interoperability protocols.

Mr. John Conyon, Director Hydrographic Operations

Mr. Conyon has over 30 years’ experience providing hydrographic services and solutions to government and industry. For the past 20 years, he has worked for IIC Technologies from both the US and Canadian offices, supporting a global client base. As the Director of Hydrographic Operations, Mr. Conyon is involved from strategic planning to business development, project planning, and project execution. He ensures that our teams have the tools and support they need to succeed, and that our clients receive the results they expect.

Mr Conyon holds an Executive MBA and has extensive hands-on exposure to the hydrographic industry, from marine charting, to data acquisition, training, solution provision, and consulting.

Ms. Christine Trickett, Director of Business Development, IIC Technologies, Europe

Christine qualified as a computer professional with a degree in Business Information Technology and post-graduate qualifications in IT service management. Her early career was with IT departments of blue chip companies like Marks & Spencer. 

Her geospatial career started when joining the UK’s national marine mapping organisation. After several year’s designing and developing geospatial products she moved into marketing, specifically product management and development where she spent a decade, responsible for the world’s leading branded merchant shipping navigational products.

As part of the IIC directing team she is responsible for evaluating and pursuing business opportunities throughout Europe. As part of the Group Business Development team she brings her marketing and software development expertise to corporate projects.

MVM

Mr. Viswa Mithra Muktha, Executive Vice President- Operations

As Executive Vice President, Mithra is the head of operations at IIC Technologies. His team is responsible for ensuring our clients are successful by delivering high quality products and solutions, on time.

With over 20 years of experience in the field, Mithra has worked across the breadth and depth of the geospatial technology spectrum. From his start in IIC Technologies as a CAD operator in 1994, he steadily moved adding multiple technologies, geospatial domains, and management functions to his portfolio. He has been instrumental in introducing new technologies and processes, keeping IIC Technologies at the cutting edge of geospatial science.

Today, his team executes projects across the entire value-chain from surveys and data conversion, to delivering terrestrial, marine, and software solutions, to our clients across the globe.

Mithra is an alumnus of University of Mysore and IIM, Kolkata.

Somnath Marthi, Vice President

Mr. Somnath Marthi, Vice President - Defense, Aerospace and Geosciences

With balanced expertise in both technology and management, Somnath serves as the Vice President (Defense, Aerospace & Geosciences) of IIC Technologies Limited. He provides leadership and management capabilities to IIC Technologies and is responsible for project evaluation, project planning and preparation, and timely completion of projects.  He is also responsible for Total Quality Management (TQM) concepts and implementation of ISO 9000 processes. 

He has more than 16 years of professional experience and has been managing a number of government projects in India as well as several GIS projects all over the world. He has been instrumental in managing the first ever digital national level cartographic database (NCDB) – Digital Vector Data Standards (DVD). He has a strong client level project understanding and is responsible for project evaluation, project planning and preparation, and timely completion of projects.

Somnath is an engineering graduate in Mechanical and holds dual Masters Degrees in Economics and Public Administration.

Dr. Ravi Kumar DVS, Vice President - Business development

Dr. Ravi is a Doctorate in Earth Science and hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He has a rich experience of over 21 years in various fields of GIS, Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry and Survey Technologies. Much of his experience has been in implementing various system integration and engineering projects for large organizations.

In his current role as Vice President – Business Development, he his primarily responsible for evaluating new business opportunities across the geospatial domains and customer management.

Yogen Shan, General Manager - US office

With a Master's in Engineering (GIS), Yogen has over 20 years of experience in the hydro spatial field. Yogen began his Marine GIS work with the production of ENC's with the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO), complying with their standard production procedures. He was also part of the development team that created an exclusive "S57 catalog" for the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS), which accompanies IHO's S-57 ENC catalog. Yogen's experience also includes working on test cases for IHO's S-100 Test framework, S-8 test dataset projects, and Satellite Derived Bathymetry (SDB) analysis projects. Yogen is an alumnus of NIT, Jaipur and Anna University, India.

Having written more than a dozen of widely recognized GIS/Marine articles, he is leading the team providing geospatial, marine, terrestrial, BathyLIDAR and other integrated solutions/services to related agencies and organizations inside the U.S. , as well as internationally.
