Blanket Purchase Agreement: In
partnership with IM Systems Group, IIC
Technologies is please to announce that it
has been selected by NOAA to supply
electronic chart consulting services, ENC QA
activities, and ENC harmonization analysis
and upgrade services. This contract is
the latest realization of the successful
relationship that IIC has enjoyed with NOAA
dating back to 2001.
July 2008:
IIC is proud to be a sponsor at CARIS's 12th International User Group Conference in Bath UK, to be held from Sept 22-26. IIC will be doing two presentations at this conference - one on Emergency Management Overlays in conjunction with US Army Corps, and one on using CARIS BASE & HPD to create ENCs from bathymetric source data in conjunction with the Canadian Hydrographic Service.

June 2008:
IIC
and Allied GIS have been awarded a contract
extension by NOAA for the ENC Maintenance
Contract which the team started in 2004.
This highly successful contract, which
involves applying both Notices to Mariners
as well as new survey source directly to the
charts, involves approximately 500 ENCs
which are updated continuously.
Apr 2008:
AML Production: IIC has successfully produced 200 Additional Military Layer (AML)
datasets for the UKHO over the past four months as part of an ongoing contract signed in August of 2007. This effort involved the rapid source processing, data production, and product validation of CLB, ESB, MFF, LBO, SBO, and RAL AMLs, and represents one of the largest production efforts of its type in the world. IIC has produced close to 500 AMLs over the past two years for several
agencies.

unite delegates from both land and sea
surveying and mapping disciplines.

Dec 2007:
ENCs
for Brazil: IIC is pleased to be
selected as the provider of S-57 cells to
the Brazilian Navy Hydrographic Center.
This two year project will result in
ENC coverage for the entire coastal area of
Brazil. With the addition of this new
valued customer in South America, IIC has
initiated or renewed projects with a dozen
hydrographic offices in 2007 alone.

Cairns Australia, to be held November 21st
to 24th at the Cairns Convention Centre.

IIC Technologies is pleased to announce the signing of a Framework Agreement with the UKHO for Data Sourcing & Manipulation. IIC will be able to provide a variety of services, including: data collection, data validation & verification, advisory and consultancy services, and data transformation for improved consistency and usability. This agreement further enhances the close relationship that IIC has developed with the UKHO.

Electronic Charting Workshop: IIC will host its 3rd Biennial Workshop on Electronic Charting, January 24-25 2008, in N. Vancouver, Canada.
Building on the success of previous workshops, this event will connect hydrographic representatives from around the world in a constructive forum to discuss and explore current issues and the latest advances in electronic charting. Topics will include the development of hydrographic database systems, the harmonization of ENCs, the latest in product standards, and the distribution and coverage of ENC data.

2007:
IIC Technologies is pleased to announce the final delivery of its portion of the NATO Bi-SC AIS Core GIS data contract. Working with Tenet Technology, IIC scanned, rectified and transformed a large portion of paper map and aviation charts as part of the extensive NATO initiative to create an open and shareable mapping database. IIC digitized 3300 sheets which will be transformed into a GML-encoded JPEG format (GMLJP2) and combined with processed geospatial data from many other sources.

Excellent
ENC news: IIC Technologies has recently been
awarded a contract to produce ENCs for the
French national hydrographic office (SHOM)
in partnership with
CARIS BV. Using a variety of source data,
including SHOM’s hydrographic database,
IIC will produce a new series of ENCs with
the option to deliver an additional set of
ENCs at a future date. In 2003, IIC
and CARIS were awarded the first SHOM
contract for ENC production.
May
2007:
IIC
secures A&E prime contract: IIC is
pleased to announce its first Architectural
and Engineering (A&E) contract with the
US Government. This contract, with the
US Army Corps of Engineers, is for the
continual maintenance of Inland ENCs (IENCs)
for the US inland waterways. Continual
maintenance will consist of the regular
application of local Notices to Mariners in
addition to the application of new survey
sources, which will make IENCs the most
up-to-date navigation product on the inland
waterways. Including options, the

IIC
is proud to announce it has subcontracted to
HSA Systems Pty Ltd in a major contract to
assist the Australian Hydrographic Office
achieve full ENC coverage by 2010. The
team will compile from source data 82 new
paper charts and 322 ENCs, and will also
perform conversion and remediation work on
38 existing charts. Click

The
UK Hydrographic Office has selected IIC
Technologies to be its supplier for the
capture of ENC datasets. This key contract
includes ENC production services with
options to extend the work for up to 4 years
in the future. IIC has been a proud supplier
to the UKHO since 2000 when IIC was awarded
the UK’s first ENC data capture contract.
Over 500 ENCs have been provided since that
time.

NATO
contract: Along with TENET and Galdos, IIC
is part of a team awarded a large GIS Data
Preparation contract by NATO involving the
scanning and conversion of several thousand
maps and charts to GMLJP2. Click herefor
